Have you ever considered to draw, to illustrate a sound, a music? We, illustrators, we are keen on illustrating ordinary objects, like flowers for greeting cards, mushrooms, veggies for restaurants and street burger distributors, illustrated menus for food trucks and so on. But what about a commission asking you to illustrate the music, the sound? And not like a one single instrument or musical activity, but the whole process of being a musician, more precisely, you are asked to draw a commissioned illustration for a music school.
Before working on a computer and starting to make anything digital, I have decided to take a pen and pencil and let my imagination flow without any boundaries illustration softwares tend to bring up. To skip few pages in a story, have to say, brief was changed on a fly, artistic directions were changed on a fly and I wasn’t given the time to accomplish this idea digitally. I can only imagine, which direction it would take when brought into some illustration software. One day will definitely go back to this initial sketch and bring int into another light.
As far as deliverables and scope of the work were rearranged, another proposals came into the light and here are few of them.

As far as Jurmala city Music school and Jurmala city Art School were moving into new, freshly built school premises it was decided to adapt to the mainstream branding of Art School, which has already established its corporate identity guidelines. And here below is a proposal, which visually is merging with the visual aesthetics of Jurmala Art School.
