Every one knows sketchbooks are essential for illustrators, graphic artists, watercolourists, just name, they are essential tool for every one holding pen or pencil. Here is a sneak peek into one of my Sketchbooks. Sketchbook usually marks the start of my day, especially in winters when days are short and gloomy and it is almost impossible to sketch anything in afternoon.
Those happy days, I remember myself being a kid, I remember looking through my grandma’s silk scarf collection, a vast pile of natural silky silk scarfs in such a varioius motifs: Indian paisly patterns, pink ribbons and roses, abstract colour splashes, dots against dots and more and more.
And now I feel inspired to create a silk scarf pattern for myself. Ideas are whirling in my mind and can’t really get them settled down to some exact pattern, my imagination are willing to try any single pattern possible. Have a look!
One day I wanted to have a deep blue ocean scarf to wrap me around, another one – a scarft with paradise birds to sing for me.
On a third day I wanted all the flowers to bloom around me. And here is the version I came up with.
